Using AirPlay or casting Nishaani to your TV

You can use Chromecast or Apple Airplay to wirelessly stream Nishaani content from your Android or iOS mobile device to your TV.

How to use Chromecast:

Please follow these steps:

  1. Open the Nishaani app
  2. Select the content you wish to view 
  3. Allow the content to Play, or press Play
  4. Select the Chromecast icon at the bottom of the player bar, if it is not displayed tap on the player
  5. Select your streaming device

Chromecast troubleshooting

Still not able to cast? Try these troubleshooting tips:

  • Verify your Google Home app is installed on your mobile device. 
    • The Google Home app is available at the iTunes Store and Google Play Store
  • Make sure your Chromecast device is connected to your TV
  • Make sure the Chromecast device and your streaming device are both connected to the same Wi-Fi network
  • Make sure you’re using the latest device model, especially if you’re trying to watch 4K content
  • If you’re trying to watch 4K* content, ensure you’re using a Chromecast device that supports 4K playback
  • Chromecast (Gen 1) models may still work with the Nishaani app, but will no longer receive updates

How to use Apple AirPlay

Please follow these steps:

  1. Open the Nishaani app
  2. Tap the content you want to watch 
  3. Allow the content to Play, or press Play
  4. Select the AirPlay icon at the bottom of the player bar, if it is not displayed tap on the player
  5. Choose the Apple TV you want use

Note: When you’re connected, the Airplay icon will change color.

Apple Airplay troubleshooting

Still not able to watch? Try these troubleshooting tips:

  • Verify your Apple TV is connected to your TV
  • Make sure the iOS device with Nishaani and the Apple TV are both connected to the same Wi-Fi network
  • For the best experience, including 4K content, we recommend the latest Apple TV model
